This clip has very strong contrast color, white and black. All the actors wear man’s suit. The ties and suit jackets are black, but the shirt is white. The actress’s dress has a strong contrast with black, too.
I use black background to present the stage background and the actors’ man’s suit. In the center of the square, there are white, red and light brown color chips. White means the heroine; red is the heroine’s big lips. And light brown is her hair. All color chips in the center form a strong contrast with the background as same as the heroine and the black stage background.
The second movie clip I chose is Down with Love, because it’s full of colors. There are white, pink, blue, yellow, purple and green. I like the colorful actresses’ dresses. The actresses wore dark pink, bright pink, bright blue and bright yellow dresses. The bad guy wore moss green clothes. The girls in this clip give me a very strong impression because of their dresses’ bright color. They always wore one color at a time.
I use dark green to be the background to represent the bad guy. Inside the dark green color chip, I divide the space to two parts. One part represents the actresses who “want” to date with the bad guy; another part represents the actresses who actually date with the bad guy. The previous one had wore peach pink, dark pink and bright green dresses, so I put these colors in it. White chip represent how the pure they are, because they are not the other woman in this love affair. At another part, sky blue color chips represent the two girls who actually date with the bad guy. In the middle of these two parts, there is a yellow color chips to represent the relationship, jealous, between the girls in these two parts. Besides, I put a black color chips in the green background to represent he is a bad guy.
