Jacob's Movie Magic

The first movie I chose is 8 Mile, because the structure of colors were very fascinating. The part where Katherine showed us was the final rap battle. It's about Eminem and Pappa Doc to battle with rap to finish this game. The referee (which has a name called "Future"), he had a dread knot which is the symbol for African-American has their own fashion. The background is full of dark colors. Most of the colors are grey (like ash grey, smoke grey, and darker and colder tones of grey) and black (no matter how dark it gets, it's "black").

If you see the audiences, they are mostly black people or African-Americans. They are wearing black, dark grey, indigo blue, and dark brown clothes. It's represents which district they are in. All this combined with a spot light with shows also tabacco smoke inside the line.

I could see Eminem has a bruise on the right eye, a symbol of what happen before of this scene. I think it represents the situation for white people.

I'm going to use black, dark grey, and indigo blue color chips to make the back ground of this movie. I will also use black color chip for the mike and make many small holes on the top. As the Eminem is a white person, I'll use a finger that attached "E" on it, to show his expression to the audiences. It will be interesting.

The second movie clip I chose is Chicago. It is also using its own color on the stage. You can see many colors on every scene. When the movie clip starts, you can see the scene is inside the prison. Even tough it's prison, it is decorated by beautiful colors with flowers.

Roxie (Renee Zellweger) reminds me of Marilyn Monroe which looks alike. You can see yellow roses on her side and pink roses on the other side, which means that she likes the color yellow. The scene changes to a stage with only one spotlight which looked adorable. She wear a silver dress with shimmering and glittering. Her lip color is cherish red which make her look very attractive.

The black background with only one spot light makes her the host of everything. I remember the scene where she get near to the mirror. When she walks by, the number of mirror increases, until many mirrors reflect her in a great shape. Next, several guys in black tuxedo assists her almost at the end of the show. The show ends with a big twizzler colored sign "ROXIE" which looked very juicy.

First of all, I'm going to use black chips for the whole back ground. I'll use the yellow hair as a sex symbol like Marilyn Monroe, including cherish red lips and a black eye brows to look mature. The Capital "C" in the middle means "Chicago", it represents the movie.
